President, Chief Executive Officer
Jonathan Fitzpatrick serves as our President, Chief Executive Officer and Director. Mr. Fitzpatrick has served as our President and Chief Executive Officer since July 2012, has served as a member of our board of directors since April 2018 and previously served as a member of the board of managers of Driven Investor LLC.
Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Fitzpatrick served in various capacities with Burger King Corporation both prior to and after its acquisition by 3G Capital.
Between February 2011 and June 2012, he was Executive Vice President, Chief Brand and Operations Officer for Burger King. He led a whirlwind of activity, including the biggest equipment and menu overhaul in the brand’s history, the development of new operational tools, and notable unit expansion that impacted operating and financial performance at the fast-food franchising giant.
From October 2010 to February 2011, he was Executive Vice President of Global Operations and between August 2009 and October 2010, Senior Vice President of Operations, Europe Middle East and Africa. Prior to this role, he was Senior Vice President, Development and Franchising from July 2007 through August 2009.
Before Burger King, Fitzpatrick was President and Chief Operations Officer of Texas Digital Systems; he began his career in Dublin and London, working for Diageo Plc – the world’s largest premium drinks business. Fitzpatrick was born and raised in Dublin Ireland and holds both his Bachelor's and Graduate degrees from the University College Dublin, Ireland.
Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer
Tiffany Mason joined Driven Brands in March of 2020, as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Mason is responsible for all aspects of the financial suite of disciplines, including financial planning, budgeting and forecasting, accounting and reporting, tax, treasury and investor relations, as well as the information technology function.
Prior to Driven Brands, Mason was Senior Vice President, Corporate Finance and Treasurer at Lowe’s Companies, Inc. There she led the corporate planning, treasury, mergers and acquisitions, investor relations and tax functions. She also held external reporting and accounting policy roles at Lowe’s, Bank of America and McCormick & Company, and started her career as an auditor for PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Mason is a versatile and results-driven executive with more than 20 years of experience in accounting and corporate finance spanning retail, banking, manufacturing, and services. She has considerable experience building and leading successful teams and communicating corporate strategy as well as complex financial information to a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.
Mason earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Loyola University in Maryland and is a Certified Public Accountant. She’s a member of the National Investor Relations Institute and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Executive Vice President, General Counsel
Scott O’Melia joined Driven Brands in May of 2020, as Executive Vice President, General Counsel. O’Melia oversees all aspects of the legal function for the company. Prior to joining the Driven Brands, O’Melia was General Counsel and Vice President of Corporate Development for Caraustar Industries. There he led the legal, corporate development, risk, safety, environmental, and real estate functions.
From 2009 to 2012, O’Melia was Vice President, Corporate Counsel at Wendy’s/Arby’s Group, where he was primarily responsible for all mergers and acquisitions, international franchising, and other transactions. From 2005 to 2009, O’Melia was a partner at Alston & Bird, where he focused on mergers and acquisitions and other transactions, securities, private equity, and general corporate matters. He is a ’96 graduate of the University of Florida Levin College of Law and a ’91 graduate of Ohio University.
Executive Vice President & Group President, Maintenance
Daniel Rivera joined Driven Brands in November 2012 as Chief Information Officer. In 2014 Rivera was named Meineke Brand President. In 2020, Rivera was named Group President of the Maintenance segment, in addition to President of Take 5 Oil Change.
Prior to his current roles, Rivera was the Senior Director of Application Development, Business Intelligence, Infrastructure, and Security at AutoNation. Prior to his role at AutoNation, he worked at some of the largest corporations in the world, including GE, Motorola, and Burger King Corporate.
Rivera holds two degrees from Florida International University. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in computer engineering, where he graduated Cum Laude and also holds a Juris Doctorate.
Executive Vice President & President ICWG North America
Gabe Mendoza joined Driven Brands as part of the 1-800-Radiator acquisition in June 2015 and continued on as President of the company until 2017. In 2017 he was promoted to EVP and President of the newly created Quick Lube Segment and In 2019 he was named EVP and President of Platform Services. Prior to Driven and 1800 Radiator, Mendoza served as Chief Financial Officer at Alibris, a leading internet marketplace for used, new, and hard-to-find books, and a "Top 100" online retailer. While at Alibris, Mendoza was responsible for all aspects of the finance and legal functions, including controllership, financial planning and analysis, tax, treasury, audit, mergers and acquisitions, and investor relations.
His experience at Alibris includes his substantial involvement in the marketing and sale process for the Company’s acquisition by Oak Hill Capital Partners in the spring of 2006. Prior to joining Alibris, Mendoza was at United Parcel Service. During his 13 years at UPS, he served in a variety of leadership roles in operations, marketing, reporting, and financial management positions. Mendoza earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of California, San Diego.
President, ICWG International
Tracy Gehlan joined Driven Brands in July 2020 as President of ICWG International.
Gehlan is responsible for all ICWG regions outside the United States and is based in the United Kingdom. Prior to joining Driven Brands, Gehlan was Senior Vice President & Chief Operating Officer of Hertz International, a combination of franchise and corporate locations across 89 markets spanning the Hertz, Dollar Thrifty and Firefly brands. She was responsible for the overall performance of the region and was a member of the global senior management team.
Gehlan began her career in the Restaurant industry, beginning her career at the Restaurant Group, the largest independent, U.K.-based restaurant company. She moved on to Burger King, where, after holding many roles across the organization, rose to Chief Operating Officer of Burger King EMEA.
Gehlan has extensive experience in the International market, with over 20 years of experience in customer-facing and franchise management roles, managing all aspects of the business from operations, marketing, revenue and finance. She brings a passion for excellence, innovation and understanding the customer journey and a focus on developing and growing her teams.
Executive Vice President & Group President, Paint, Collision & Glass
Michael Macaluso joined Driven Brands as part of the CARSTAR Canada acquisition in December of 2015. He had been with CARSTAR since 2008, serving in numerous leadership roles including President, Chief Operating Officer and as head of Insurance Sales. In January of 2016, he was appointed President of CARSTAR North America and has taken on increasingly expanded roles within Driven Brands since 2015. In addition to overseeing CARSTAR, Macaluso now leads the Paint, Collision & Glass business segment, comprising of CARSTAR, Maaco, Uniban, Abra and Fix Auto USA.
Macaluso was born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario, and attended school at Western University in London, Ontario studying Economics. He sits on a variety of boards in the community and is involved in numerous collision industry councils and initiatives. Macaluso continues to live in Hamilton with his wife and their three sons.
President, Platform Services
Kyle Marshall joined Driven Brands in 2015 as part of the 1-800 Radiator acquisition and, in 2017, was named President of 1-800 Radiator & A/C. 1-800 Radiator & A/C is an automotive aftermarket parts distribution company with over 200 franchise locations specializing in the on-demand delivery of repl acement parts to service and repair centers, and collision shops throughout the United States and Canada. Over his 17-year career with 1-800 Radiator & A/C, Kyle held numerous management roles, including Vice President of Sales and Marketing, where he led the development and implementation of key strategies to advance organic sales growth and franchisee profitability.
In 2020, Marshall was named President of Driven Brands’ Platform Services Division. Platform Services includes companies such as 1-800 Radiator & A/C and P.H. Vitres d’Autos that distribute select automotive aftermarket parts to parts stores, repair facilities, and service stations throughout North America.
Marshall was born and raised in Westfield, Massachusetts and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2001. Kyle now lives in Concord, California, with his wife Marga and their two children.
SVP, Development and M&A
Dennis Elliott joined Driven Brands in 2013 and serves as the company’s Senior Vice President of Development and M&A. Since 2015, Elliott has led M&A efforts across the company’s maintenance, PC&G, platform services, and carwash divisions. In his time leading M&A, Driven Brands added over 2,700 franchised and company-owned units through more than 40 acquisitions.
Elliott graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a BS in Business Administration and started his career in investment banking with Brookwood Associates. He currently lives in Charlotte, NC with his wife and his son.
SVP, Chief Commercial Officer
Shawn Heitz joined Driven Brands in October 2020, as SVP, Chief Commercial Officer. Heitz is a results-driven commercial executive with over 18 years leading growth and transformation across a variety of industries. He has a track record of building capabilities to drive immediate and sustainable impact via strategic focus, compelling analytics and developing talent.
Prior to Driven Brands, Heitz led sales and marketing transformations for private equity portfolio companies via Sapphire Strategy – including serving as Chief Transformation Officer with Ansira, a leading marketing technology & services company backed by Advent International.
Heitz helped drive 5X growth in EBITDA and enterprise value in multiple roles at Snyder’s-Lance while leading the development of the Revenue Growth and Strategy functions – including pricing, promotions and category insights for the $2.5B portfolio. Prior to that, as an Engagement Manager with McKinsey & Company, he partnered with Fortune 100 consumer companies to deliver performance improvement across a range of functions.
Heitz holds an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia. He enjoys living in Charlotte with his wife and two daughters.
SVP, Driven Insights
Suzanne Smith joined Driven Brands in June of 2017, and serves as SVP of Driven Insights. Smith oversees all aspects of Driven Brand's data strategy, creating an unified view of the Driven Brands customer, and defining and executing data analytics across the portfolio. Smith is responsible for deploying and scaling data driven insights leading to decisions that drive profitability, continuous optimization and competitive differentiation. Smith also oversees Driven Brand's Digital organization, leveraging the power of integrated data and analytics to optimize digital investments and assets that align to the customer journey.
Prior to joining Driven Brands, Smith spent 11 years at Lowe's Home Improvement serving in a number of strategy and analytic positions supporting Marketing, Customer Experience, Merchandising, Operations, and Global Strategy. Smith has a BS in Statistics & Social Research, a BA in Psychology and a M.S. in Statistics & Applied Research from Winthrop University and UNC Charlotte.
